Your hot water bottle can leave the sofa

When you think of a hot water bottle, you probably picture the same thing as everyone else. Sofa, blanket, evening, maybe a film on top. It often gets uncomfortable at times when you cannot lie down.

That is what the belt is for. It holds the hot water bottle flat against your stomach or your lower back, it barely shows under your clothes, and your hands stay free.

You notice it at your desk first

Two hours of sitting, and your lower back starts to speak up. Anyone working from home from October onwards knows the feeling. Heating a whole room for one person rarely pays off. Strapped on, the warmth sits where it should, and you keep typing.

Nobody sees it under a jacket

It gets cold outside even when you are moving. Waiting for the bus, standing at the side of a pitch, outside the school. In a photo from @mani_e98 you can see the belt in the woods, worn openly over a T-shirt. Under a jacket, nobody notices it at all.

And when your hands are busy?

Painting, crafting, sorting something at the kitchen table. @juliafit.official took a photo in front of her easel, palette in hand, belt around her waist. A hot water bottle you have to hold would get in the way there.

Back to the sofa in the evening

One filling lasts long enough to get through the afternoon and the evening too. When you lie down at night, you take the bottle out of the belt, and it ends up right where everyone expects it.

Before you fill it with hot water

If your hot water bottle spent the summer in a cupboard: boiling water does not belong in it, and the stopper is the part that wears out first. Both are covered in our guide to filling it.
